fire alarm at 3am, it rings like hell, sleep or leave?

Commercial breaks

Lacoste pour femme: i like the violin and the hemming sound, but disappointed with the quality of its website. it's not background music at all. just one phase repeated and repeated again. anyway, the music replays continuously in my mind.

Xelibri: first saw the printed ad in May Vogue, dunno what it means, just an eye-catchy chinese slogan, ¦n©ú¤Ñ°Ú! (that's so tomorrow!) (u know i really think that's a girl) a month later, it's tv commercial, damn funny, the actor is really brilliant. i think the tv commercial and the leaftlet laugh at the future world, satirising technology while selling technology.

it gave us much expectation but after all it's just a mobile.

Ballet Extravaganza

three different styles of ballet that i've never seen from the Hong Kong Ballet. (it's the second year for Ballet Extravaganza) Before, it was all about fairy tales... the one with some innovation would be The White Snake. (which was a tragedy, there was a redundant story teller, other performers were great though) This time, it's neo-classic and got many new elements.

Dreams of Tenderness and Solitude, lightness, the music was like those of Cocteau Twins, it'a abt the minor bit of love, light in your heart, but just like butterflies, they stir you, amd make you fly.

Tango Ballet Tango, at first i thought i was just tango style ballet, but it's more than that. four groups of dancers told four different types of mood/style/attitude of love. 1.game of jealousy and competition, the dancer was a 'tall' girl, i've never seen girl with this height dancing ballet. but she's graceful, well-matched with the supposed-elegant character. 2. to love bravely and the little pleasure of love. 3. uncertainty and the excitement in it. 4. the final couple.... i dunno.... i dun see anything in particular, i'll just say, beautiful. maybe that's the other bit of love.

what brilliant here is the casting. the dance was tailor-made for each one. before, take the Swan Lake as example, anyone could be Odette as long as she dances well, but here, the characters couldn't be exchanged, it's like their personal profile. just one thing, some of the dancers were framed in classic ballet, they couldn't show the passionate side or tough movement in tango.

The Rite of Spring, breath-taking, dramatic, but somehow disturbing...... it's abt violence and a bit abt the tension between two sexes.......... again... it's not violent enough......
